BigGym B.V. is responsible for the processing of personal data as set out in this privacy statement. If you are a member of BigGym , want to become a member of BigGym or visit our website out of interest, we need certain information and data from you. The processing of your data is subject to laws and regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (AVG). Below we have listed for you which of your data we process, why we do this and how we deal with your personal data. It also explains how you can influence the processing of your personal data by BigGym. Because we are a dynamic company in a rapidly developing environment, it is important that we update our privacy policy from time to time. You will always find the most up-to-date policy on our website. We therefore advise you to visit this page regularly.

WHICH OF YOUR DATA WILL BE PROCESSED BY US?

BigGym processes personal data. According to the AVG, personal data is "any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person ("the data subject")". This includes all data that can be traced back to your person.

Data of our (potential) members
When you take out a BigGym membership, we process at least your name, address, place of residence, date of birth, bank account number, telephone number and your e-mail address.

Even if you already have a BigGym membership, we continue to process this type of personal data. For example, every time you visit our gym or contact us by phone or e-mail.

Data of our website visitors
(Personal) data of every visitor to our website are also processed. This may include personal data that you enter on the website yourself, such as your e-mail address, name, home or work address or a telephone number.

Surf and click behaviour
We also collect information about your visit to our website. This is primarily data that your browser sends by default to every website that you visit. Think of your IP-address. We can also collect information about which pages of our website you view, which links you click on, how often you visit our website and what other actions you take; in other words, your surf and click behaviour.

Cookies
A cookie is a small amount of data that a server sends to your browser with the intention of storing it and returning it to the server on your next visit. In this way, the server can easily recognise your browser again.Our website makes use of (temporary) cookies. Sometimes these are third-party cookies. BigGym has no access to these third-party cookies.

Social Media
The data that you enter yourself on social media or that we collect as a result of your reactions to social media expressions are processed by BigGym . This may include personal data that you enter yourself on the contact page of the platform in question, such as your e-mail address, name or telephone number.

HOW DO WE HANDLE CHILDREN'S DATA?

Our services are not directed at children. This means that the use of biggym.nl by customers under 18 years of age is only permitted with the express permission of a parent or guardian.

WHY DO WE PROCESS YOUR DATA?

Service
Without processing your personal data, BigGym cannot provide its services to you. For example, we will not be able to create a membership card, which means that you will not be able to gain access to a BigGym facility. Or if you have asked us a question, we cannot answer it. When granting access to BigGym , an image of the member in question is visually displayed during the scanning of the pass. BigGym cannot rule out that the image in question, intended for the desk clerk, is visible to bystanders during the scanning of the pass.

BigGym works together with partners, for example, to offer our services or to collect outstanding invoices. It is therefore possible that we provide your personal data to these partners. We require our partners to at least comply with the Wbp. They must handle your personal data with care and are prohibited from using your data for any purpose other than that for which they were provided to them.

Legal obligation
BigGym We may be obliged by law or regulation to process your personal data and/or provide them to third parties. For example, if a competent authority such as the police requests it in the context of a criminal investigation.

Marketing and sales activities
BigGym may process your personal data for marketing and sales activities (also after termination of your membership) for its own services or those of companies affiliated with BigGym . Your details will then be used to make offers in writing, by telephone and electronically (including by e-mail).

To be clear: we do not sell the personal data of our members to third parties so that they can use these data for their direct marketing activities!

BigGym uses functional and analytical cookies. A cookie is a small text file that is stored in the browser of your computer, tablet or smartphone when you first visit this website. HOW DO WE HANDLE YOUR DATA?

Security
BigGym The Association ensures appropriate organisational, technical and physical security of its members' data. Therefore, your data cannot be viewed by all employees of BigGym . Furthermore, we will only use your data in accordance with our privacy policy. If you feel that your data is not properly secured or if there are indications of abuse, please contact our customer service.

Retention period
We will retain your data to the extent necessary to fulfil the purposes for which we are processing your data and for no longer than is legally permissible. The ultimate retention period differs per type of personal data. If you have a membership of BigGym , we will keep your data for at least the duration of your membership.

Depending on your browser settings, temporary cookies are deleted shortly after your visit.

HOW CAN YOU INFLUENCE THE PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

Inspection
Every member has the right to inspect his or her personal data. Of course you can ask in your gym , what data they have registered about you there.

If that is not enough for you, you can submit a request for inspection by sending a letter to BigGym, Postbus 102, 1960 AC in Heemskerk, stating "request for inspection" and providing your name, address, fixed and/or mobile telephone number and a copy of a valid identification document.

Correction
Every member also has the right to have his or her personal data corrected if it is incorrect. You can also have this done at your branch. Should this not be possible for any reason, you can send a letter to the above address stating "correction request" and providing your name, address, fixed and/or mobile telephone number and a copy of a valid ID. We will provide a written response within 4 weeks.

Objection
If your personal data is used for purposes other than those necessary for the performance of a contract or than necessary for the fulfillment of a legal obligation, you may object to such use. You can therefore especially object to the use of your data for commercial purposes, such as direct marketing activities as well as the provision of your data to third parties for the same direct marketing purposes. You can do so even if you have previously given your consent to such use.

If you therefore object to BigGym using your personal data for the commercial purposes set out below, please send us an e-mail:

- Email provided with name, address, fixed and/or mobile telephone number and a copy of a valid identification document to administration@BigGym.nl. We will respond within 4 weeks of the online objection.
- Or letter provided with name, address, landline and/or cell phone number and a copy of valid identification to our mailing address. We will respond within 4 weeks of the written objection.

Please state clearly in your letter which form of use of your personal data you object to:
- BigGym direct mailing by mail; and/or
- Commercial e-mail, including BigGym's newsletter ; and/or

Naturally, we will do everything possible to process your objection as quickly as possible. It may take some time before we have done this and it is therefore possible that you will be contacted by us in the meantime. By the way, it is much easier to stop commercial approaches via e-mail by following the instructions given in the e-mail message!
